Our Workshop and Production Process
Wooden products built in one workshop in Ninghai, from raw timber to packed carton. Here is each step, and the machines behind it.
The workshop
Ninghai Bohong Arts & Crafts Co., Ltd. was founded in 2017. The workshop in Ningdong New Town, Ninghai County, Ningbo has about 2,450 m² of building area. We are a small team and we make wooden toys, puzzle tables, wooden boxes and wooden home goods.

Eight steps, in order
Each step happens on our own machines. Below, the real photos from our workshop floor.

Step 1: Cutting
Timber is cut to size on a multi-blade saw and a panel saw.

Step 2: Planing
A four-side planer brings parts to thickness and profile.

Step 3: Carving and engraving
An engraving machine, vertical mill and drill press cut shapes, holes and engraved artwork.

Step 4: Sanding
Sanding machines smooth parts and panels before finishing.

Step 5: Finishing
Colour and clear finishes are applied in-house, in our own spray booth.

Step 6: Assembly
Parts are fitted and assembled by hand.

Step 7: Inspection
Every order is checked against your approved sample and drawing before packing.

Step 8: Packing
Cartons and inserts are packed to your packing instruction.

- Size, engraving and finish changes are made at our own machines.
- Inspection checks are set per order, against your approved sample.
Quality checks
We agree the points to check with you before production: dimensions, fit, surface finish, engraving position and carton marking. Third-party testing for toys is arranged per order. See Certifications.
